Grant Community High School is presenting the musical sensation, Little Shop of Horrors! The productions will be presented in Grant’s auditorium on April 21 at 7pm, 22nd at 7pm, and 23 at 2pm. Tickets are $5 for students/seniors and $7 for adults. Forty-four Grant students have been cast and forty-one tech students are actively involved designing and operating the set, sound, lights, costumes, props, and even styling 60’s hairdo’s! Musical artistic director, Jeffrey Austin, a Grant art teacher, has created our changing flower shop set. Choir teacher, Krista Koske, is directing our 6 talented doo wop girls, our memorable leads, and leading the rest of the cast to croon along with beloved tunes. Grant’s band director, Ellen Skolar, will lead an all Grant student 4-piece ensemble to perform all the upbeat instrumental music. Grant’s new English and Theater teacher, Beth Suehr, is directing the production. Tyler Schaufel, a Grant parent, is designing and implementing moving lights for horrifying effects. GCHS graduate, Daniela (Muchova) Ziegler has choreographed 16 spectacular dance numbers. Grant parent, Marissa Myers, is costuming all those who live on Skid Row. We are all hard at work to produce an entertaining, engaging theatrical experience for our student body and community. We hope you will attend!
