Grant’s fall play, The Good Doctor, by Neil Simon has been cast! Our 18 high school performers include Kyle Knudsen, Joanna Tapia, Jacob Bendfeldt, Alli Pongetti, Bridget Wright, Dierra Reed, Gavin Diehl, Sam Winters, Nathan Mesmer, Tanner Newman, Ryan Lewis, Meagan Hannes, Megan Japczyk, Ethan Cuellar, Abigail Giles, Jack Myers, Chantal Moody, and Chance Newman starring in the title role. This is a comedy of 10 scenes originally written by Anton Chekhov, who, in addition to being a successful playwright, was a physician: The Good Doctor. Thus, our play is set in Russia at the turn of the 19th Century. Expect endless hilarity with our immensely talented cast of characters, some of which will be interacting with the audience! (Our production is child-appropriate.)
We also have an extremely creative crew of gifted Grant student technical leaders who will literally set the stage for our production. Student leads include Gage Szekeres - lights & ticketing, McKennan Locke - set, Hannah Watts & Natasha Bivens - artistic design, Isabella Ehresman & Kallie Johnson - costumes, Lillian Sillman & Regine Gonzalez - props, Dan Keats & Charlie West - sound, and James Molidor & Meagan Hannes - stage managers.
Grant teachers are also passionately guiding students in our fall play with Mr. Rodd Hansen - set, Mrs. Penny Zegler - artistic design, and Mrs. Beth Suehr - director. We are also extremely fortunate to have two skilled Grant parents instructing crews as well: Mrs. Angela Russano - costumes and Mr. Tyler Schaufel - lights.
Our performance dates are Nov. 18 & 19 at 7pm and Nov. 20 at 2pm.
